This fireplace was designed by well-known Dutch designer Roderick Vos
Vos means Fox in Dutch and Fennek is a type of fox
Roderick opted for clean sight lines where you can clearly see the 3mm plate thickness everywhere
Models are also designed modularly
Fennek 80's side panels are the same panels as Fennek 50 and have the same legs
The legs are fitted with large sturdy cap nuts and a stainless steel bolt is screwed in to ensure that the fireplace remains free from the ground and leaves no traces of rust on the terrace
The door handle is integrated into the right door trim
We made an extra recess in the grapple hook, this can be used to open the door slightly and then secure it
The side panels are hung on the stove and tightened firmly by pressing firmly.
But they can always be released later by pushing up again
In addition, air gaps were provided in the side panels, so that air could enter the combustion chamber from the front of the glass, which ensured that the windows remained clean.
Additionally, both have a deep firing base made of refractory concrete, which is well known
For the chimney we used the same CorTen steel pipes known from the Quaruba series
The lower pipe is also equipped with an adjustable valve so that the flame image can be regulated in some way.
Roderick found a new rain cover that fits the stove's design very well
This can also be optionally fitted with a spark arrester (the same one we used on the Quaruba)
